We're lucky to be located in one of Melbourne's most beautiful locations - the Collingwood Childrens' Farm. The Farm is only 4kms from the centre of Melbourne and is easily accessible by train, bike or car.
There's lots of activities every day including cow milking at 10am and 4pm each day.
The story of the Farm Cafe began in early 2005 when we started running the coffee and pancake stall once a month at the Collingwood Children's Farm Farmers Market. It was surprisingly successful and our little stall went from being a once a month occurance to every weekend. Being cash strapped students and volunteering 3 days per week, we eventually asked the farm whether we might be paid for our time however the farm offered a small kitchen and an old vegie garden for lease instead. After a little contemplation, we went in to business.
Over the years the Farm Cafe has grown from a little coffee cart to one of Melbourne's most beautiful cafe's - serving delicious, wholesome, sustainable and ethical food of a high quality.
