An Accidental Business Adventure

The story of the Farm Cafe began in early 2005 when two young volunteers, Pip & Tom, started running the coffee and pancake stall once a month at the Collingwood Children's Farm Farmers Market.

Such was the success of this enterprise that the stall went from being a once a month occurrence to every weekend, and when Pip & Tom asked the farm whether they might be paid for their time, the farm offered a small kitchen and an old vegie garden for lease instead. After a little contemplation, Pip & Tom went in to business.

Over the last few years the Farm Cafe has grown from a little coffee cart to one of Melbourne's most beautiful cafe's - serving delicious, wholesome, sustainable and ethical food of a high quality.
